Dr. Wahome Ngare is married to Dr Mercy Wahome, is a father of four children, a father-in-law to one daughter, and a grandfather of two. He has been a medical doctor since 1991, and has specialized in obstetrics and gynaecology since 2000. He is the founding director of Mercy Health Services limited that owns Mercy Medical Centre, where he is a consultant in full time private practice. He has also co-authored a book titled The Fireplace: A Journey of Masculinity, as well as an important scientific paper titled HCG found in WHO Tetanus Vaccine in Kenya
Raises Concern in the Developing World. Dr Wahome is the Chairman of the Kenya Catholics Doctors Association (KCDA), a Commissioner of the Catholic Justice and Peace Department, and the former Chairman of the Kenya Medical Association (KMA) SACCO. He is also a Director at the Africa Center for Social Change Health and Development, the Kenya Christian Professionals Forum (KCPF), Mary Help of the Sick Mission Hospital in Thika, Kenya, and a member of the Christian Organizations Research and Advisory Trust of Africa (CORAT Africa). Dr Wahome is passionate about organized families engaging in all spheres of influence.
